Day 62, April, 2012
Hey guys, I have a question. Does anyone know anything I could use as a filler for this jump or anything I could use to make other jumps? All feedback is welcome.
My progress with Star through February 1, 2012- February 1, 2013 with the 365 Horse Project.
Hey guys, I have a question. Does anyone know anything I could use as a filler for this jump or anything I could use to make other jumps? All feedback is welcome.
This is the jump that we do four days a week. Its 2’10” here, but we normally school at 2’4”
We went from this

Okay so I havent gone to the barn yet today but I will post some pictures (to get caught up) of the jumps we have been jumping and the progress we’ve made(=
This is from today, us jumping 2’8”
Star jumped 2’8” today.
I was so proud of her, we took off a little late and knocked the whole standard over once because my foot hit it, but other than that she was fabulous. I love her. here are some pictures of the jump yesterday and today.
Yesterday at 2’4”
Yesterday at 2’10”
Today at 2’8”
Tumblr was just getting too dramatic. I wont be posting on a daily basis but I will get back on to let you all know how Star and I are coming along. We jumped 2’10” yesterday with a spread (from landing to take off) of 6ft =D I a so proud of her. Although she seems to be topping out at 2ft 10in I still would like to say that we’ve jumped three feet. If she does jump it it will surely be on tape and I wont ask her to do it again, I’d rather not stress her joints at her age.
So yeah, that’s the update ill be more specific on other updates, love yall<3
hahaha okay(= well, there’s a list of things such as teching her to give hugs to out first outing with friends. One time my friend Jake came over for a ride and we headed out to the beach at the end of my barn road and after stopping there trowing huge rocks into the water we headed back home in a race. He was on a 14.3Hh spotted saddle horse and I was on Star 13.2Hh mustang) and we started off in a canter heading for a arrow trail between some soybeans and the trees so whomever got there first would win because you couldn’t pass after that. So I leaned forward a bit and Star took off at a gallop as did Jake’s horse and we were neck and neck until star somehow found more speed and we passed then just before the corn and cantered all the way back home. It was so much fun and I really felt in-tune with her.. until I turned to see jake behind me, turned back around to look forward and ran flat out into a holly bush and cut up my arm XD
Day 57, April 10th, 2012
Okay, so today I got out there only planning on staying at the barn for an hour and ended up being there for two hours. ^-^ haha I went out to get here and she perked her ears up and happily walked with me once I got her halter on. After I tacked her up I I hoped on and warmed her up on her left hand first. She bends beautifully on that hand but when I turn her to move off of her right hand she leans her head out to the left and when I bring her to the canter she turns like she has a pole shoved up her butt. It’s so annoying. Anywho we worked on that and I finally got her turning and bending like she’s supposed to and my mum said she had to run home because some guy was coming to pick up the jeep that my brother sold. So I got out the jumps thinking that she would be back by the time that I got them set up, turns out she wasn’t going to be back for another hour.
So I set up the jump at 1’10” because I needed to jump but my mum doesn’t like me to jump big when she isn’t at the barn. Buuuut after a while i got bored and decided that I wanted to jump bigger and that it was okay because the barn owners daughter was home. So i moved the jump up to 2’4” and jumped it a few times with Starry then we moved it up to 2’8” and she went over it a bit but it was so nice out and everything was moving along so perfectly and we were getting the striding into the jump almost perfectly every time so I thought I’d risk it and move the jump up to 2’9” or 33” and give that a whirl. SHE CLEARED IT! =D hahaha that was the first time I had ever jumped that high and Starry’s second time jumping that high/first time jumping that high with a rider. That’s only three freaking inches from our 3ft goal.
I am so proud of her. Only every time I went to take a video (we jumped it around twelve times, she cleared it eight) the times that she would clear it either my phone would turn off, someone would text me and end the video, or i would hit save and it would somehow disappear. it made me so mad. But I know that we did it and I am so, so proud of her<33
SO yeah, that was my day, adios<3
Day 56, April 9th, 2012
Yay I did get to see Star today(= me and Jonathan and Lillian went out for a picnic and took Star’s saddle off and let her eat while we ate then after I got on her and rode her around a bit bareback and then let Lillian and Jonathan both give it a go and took peektures(=

Aint he cute? hehe<3
and here’s Lillian
They both so cute ^-^
Anywho, after that Jonathan helped me put Star’s saddle back on and I cantered Star around once or twice while Jonathan put the stuff away. After that Lillian hopped back on Star and we walked to the barn. Star was so good about not being stupid with them on her back and even with the wind, dogs barking, and cars passing us she never spooked. I was so proud.
Once we got back to the barn Jonathan set up a jump for me and Star and I jumped up to 2’4” today but I didn’t want to push her because she seemed tired. After that I cooled her down and un-tacked her giving her a nice brush-down and I braided her tail so that it wouldn’t get too tangled. I love my pony, she’s the greatest <3
So yeah, that was my day, I had a blast and Star was fantastic, oh how I have missed my pony. Adios erry body<3
